Alvear Palace Hotel Brunch

The smart and stylish Alvear Palace Hotel in Recoleta is hosting its annual max-out-the-credit-card Father’s Day celebration brunch in Restaurant L´Orangerie. The buffet offering is sure to tempt the taste buds with a wide variety of hot and cold dishes.  It’s pricey – $900pesos per adult and $550 per child – but the price includes wines and there is entertainment for the kids.

Brunch or Spa at the Hilton

Another option for dads (and moms) who like the finer things in life (at least a couple of times a year, anyway), the Hilton Buenos Aires lays on its Father’s Day brunch in the restaurant El Faro. There is also a kids’ play area with special activities and games. Or, treat dad to a fitness and spa session at the hotel, with use of the gym, sauna, a massage, reflexology session and lunch ($890 – contact hiltonfitness.buenosaires@hilton.com)

Day on the River

Enjoy the “Día de río” at the hotel and leisure complex Amarran Sancho in the Tigre Delta this Father’s Day weekend. You are transferred by boat from Tigre, and tuck into a lunch, afterwards with full use of the facilities like sauna, sports fields, games, beach, nature reserve and fishing. It may be a little cold, but the scenery is still lovely.

Games and Fun with Dad at Quinta Estación

The Quinta Estación café in Palermo (Borges 2055) hosts a Saturday and Sunday for dad and the little ones with special dishes for the fathers plus activities for the children where they prepare a surprise for their dad. The café has a playroom where kids pay $40 for unlimited access to the games, toys, and entertainment (reservations on 4833 6575).
